The Mopar USAC National Midgets will compete in Arizona November 9 and 10 with the announcement of races scheduled at Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria.

The 3/8-mile dirt oval hosted the AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Cars last October, both races won by USAC National Drivers Champion Bryan Clauson.

The AMSOIL USAC National and CRA Sprint series return to Canyon for races this October 26 and 27.

“I am extremely excited to bring Midget racing back to Arizona and to Canyon Speedway Park. We have worked hard to provide high caliper exciting events to the Phoenix area and this will be on top of the list for race fans in the Southwest.”

The National Midget races November 9 and 10 will be the first in Arizona since Brad Sweet’s victory at Tucson in 2010 and the first ever at Canyon Speedway Park. The races are expected to have an impact on the series standings, which will become final after the November 22 race at Perris, Calif.

“We are happy to bring the Midgets to Canyon Speedway Park,” says USAC’s Jason McCord. We had some great Sprint races there last year and are looking forward again to the October races as well as the newly-announced November Midgets.”
