AKRON, Ohio (Sept. 11, 2012) – Mike Kertscher and Bill Balog each won a Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint series race over the weekend as the series raced twice in Wisconsin.

Kertscher won the Jerry Reichert Memorial at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond and championship leader Bill Balog won at Amsoil Speedway in Superior.

Kertscher, Balog and the other IRA competitors race on Goodyear Eagle Dirt Track Specials, bias-ply tires manufactured in the tiremaker’s Innovation Center in Akron, Ohio. The tires Goodyear supplies the IRA series are the same as those supplied to the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and other important winged spring car racing programs across the country.

The Reichert Memorial race attracted 31 entries. Kertscher was followed across the finish line by Mark Dobmeier, Brooke Tatnell, Travis Henderson and Balog.

Balog’s win at Superior gave him a seemingly insurmountable lead in the standings. Kertscher finished second in the race, followed by Davey Heskin, Travis Whitney and Brett Triplett.
