Strong Run in Return to Eagle

From CDR

Craig Dollansky and the rest of the World of Outlaws were supposed to return to Eagle Raceway in late April. Unfortunately, during that portion of the season Mother Nature was making her presence known and the race was postponed. On Wednesday much more favorable weather allowed the Big Game Treestands #7 team to return to the track in ‘The Cornhusker State’ for the first time in three years.

As one of the most recent winners at the 1/3-mile in 2008, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ began the night by motoring around the high-banks at 11.371 seconds, 2nd fastest of the 21 cars competing. Heat races put the Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance Products Maxim outside row two and finish 4th to secure a dash position. An inversion of four for the dash lined up Dollansky inside row two where he advanced a position to 2nd.

After earning a front row starting spot for the 40-lap A-Main, the main event got underway with the MobileStar #7 dropping a couple of spots before a yellow on lap 12. Following another caution four circuits later, Dollansky closed on Donny Schatz for third just after the halfway point on lap 25. As the feature continued the duo raced closely with the Aggressive Hydraulics backed sprinter trying to work the highside around the #15. Not able to make the move stick coming out of the turns, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ held 4th when the checkered flag flew to record a top-five finish.

“We had a good night going until the A-Main,” commented the Elk River, Minnesota native. “We lost a cylinder and were lucky to finish fourth.”

Up next, the Big Game Treestands #7 team make their final visit of the season to Eldora Speedway in Ohio tomorrow, September 21st.
