Indianapolis, IN — (December 20, 2012) — Defending USAC National Midget Champion Darren Hagen posted four fast qualifying times during the 2012 calendar. Three of those were on dirt tracks. In 2013 that kind of performance will lead to cash bonuses!

Buck and Betty Rice of Pro Source, Inc. in Grand Saline, Texas, backers of USAC motorsports for the past two decades, have announced they will post $100 cash prizes for all 2013 USAC National Midget dirt fast qualifiers. In addition, a special $500 cash bonus awaits at season’s end to the driver amassing the most fast qualifying times in USAC’s 2013 National Midget dirt events.

“We enjoy USAC’s National races so much,” say Buck and Betty, who have continually supported USAC’s participants with cash bonuses since the 1990s. “We look forward to helping the dirt Midget people with this incentive in 2013.”

The 2013 USAC National Dirt Midget campaign kicks off with a brand-new two-night Kokomo (Ind.) Grand Prix and the 20-race stretch concludes on Thanksgiving night with the “Turkey Night Grand Prix” at Perris, Calif. In between, traditional events include the “Hut Hundred” at Pontoon Beach, Ill. May 31, a five-race “Indiana Midget Week” in June, a two-night co-sanctioned program with Powri and BMARA at Belleville, Ill., the return to the Belleville (Kans.) Midget Nationals, the “4-Crown Nationals” at Rossburg, Ohio, the “Gold Crown Nationals” at Pontoon Beach, Ill. and the “Western World Championships” at Peoria, Ariz. A pair of races are also on tap at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisc.

Buck and Betty Rice were honored December 7 at USAC’s “Night of Champions” National Awards Banquet in Indianapolis, receiving USAC’s Individual Special Appreciation Award.
