With the World of Outlaws still in his home state, Tim Kaeding continues to flex his muscles as the San Jose, CA driver put his Roth Enterprises/HR Livestock Transportation/3H Cattle machine on his fourth podium in eight races by way of his third place finish Friday night in Merced, CA.
“I cannot say enough about this Roth Motorsports team,” Kaeding said. “Our car has been awesome every night, and to get out of here with a third, I really can’t complain.”
With 31 cars on hand at the ultra tight confines of the Merced Speedway, Kaeding set his night up by timing in his Mobil1/FK Rod Ends/Weld Wheels backed machine fifth fastest.
With passing at a high premium all night long, Kaeding started third, and finished third in his heat, though he would transfer to the dash based on his time trial time.
Again, lining up in position three, Kaeding would maintain the spot, and earn a second row starting spot for the 40-lap feature event.
On the start of the feature, Kaeding slipped back a few spots and actually ran fifth for the first few laps of the feature.
“We had a good car for the feature, but I didn’t do us any favors by losing a few spots on the initial start,” he explained.
Working back into the fourth spot, Kaeding and Chad Kemenah fought ‘tooth and nail’ for the third spot as the duo swapped the position several times over the final ten-laps.
Sitting fourth on a late restart, TK beat Kemenah to the bottom of the speedway, and went on to take home the third spot, and grab another top finish with ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt’.
“I am happy we are running well with the World of Outlaws,” he said. “This is great for Dennis and Teresa Roth, and a great way for our team to start the season.”
Tim and his Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, HR Livestock Transportation, 3H Cattle, Mobil1, FK Rod Ends, Weld Wheels, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, and Astro Titanium for their support in 2013.
2013 ROTH MOTORSPORTS BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-8, Wins-2, Top 5’s-6, Top 10’s-8.
ON TAP: TK will return to action this Friday and Saturday night as he looks to defend his win at the Antioch Speedway last fall on Friday, before hitting the newly configured Calistoga Speedway on Saturday night.
