(Torrance, CA, April 5, 2013) Rising Southern California sprint car racing star Greg Alexander will make his 2013 debut this Saturday night, April 6, in the Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series at Perris Auto Speedway. Spectator gates will open for the quadruple header show at 5:00 PM and the first race will be at 7:00.
The soon to be 24-year-old Torrance, California racer had hoped to race at the season opener on March 9th, but a last minute sponsor issue put his debut back to this weekend. He will be back behind the wheel of the Chuck Tylor Motorsports #72 that is sporting a flashy new Amsoil paint job.
“I am ready to go and it will feel good to get back out there,” the personable racer said on Thursday afternoon. “I was very disappointed to miss the first race so I am very excited to get back in the car this Saturday night.”
In addition to racing the Chuck Tyler Motorsports #72 in Amsoil USAC/CRA competition this year, Alexander will be back in the Eric Rickard #13 in the USAC West Coast Series. He won two main events in a row in that car last season at the Ventura Raceway. He hopes to make his season debut in the Rickard car on April 20th at the Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare.
Next week Alexander and his wife Cynthia will journey to the state of Washington where he will shake down a car for good friend Johnnie Butler at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma.
If you would like to get on board and be involved with either, or both, of Alexander’s teams for 2013, please give him a call at: (714) 610-4566.
For the 2013 season, the Chuck Tyler Motorsports entry will be sponsored by Amsoil, oiltwins.com, Barnes Systems, Sander Engineering, Freeway Auto Supply, SC Grafix and Scott Daloisio Sports.
