Hirst Hanford Hard Charger

One week after scoring a second place finish at the Kings Speedway in Hanford, CA, Kyle Hirst scored a ninth place finish, and earned Hard Charger honors with the World of Outlaws.

“Friday we had a great racecar, but I continue to struggle qualifying with the World of Outlaws,” he said.

A 21st quick qualifying effort, put Hirst and his Roth Enterprises/HR Livestock Transportation/3H Cattle team behind the eight ball early, as they were well outside of the heat race inversion.

Starting seventh in his heat race, Hirst was able to gain ground, and transfer into the feature event by-way of a fifth place finish.

On an extremely slick, and wide track, KH lined his Mobil1/FK Rod Ends/Weld Wheels machine up in the 10th row, hoping for a big run.

A big run is exactly what he had, as the Sacramento, CA driver put his No. 83JR machine on both the top and bottom of the speedway as he worked his way forward getting past Steve Kinser, Jason Sides and Cody Darrah late in the feature.

The more slick the track got, Hirst seemed to get faster, as he wound up advancing 11 positions, and scored a ninth place finish.

“We were awesome in the feature,” he said. “Dennis and Teresa have put together a great California team for us, and we were all working great together on Friday.”

Saturday, Hirst had mechanical issues, and had a very early night at the Perris Auto Speedway.

Timing in 16th quick, KH scored a sixth place finish in his heat, and lined up 16th in the feature.

Just a few laps into the main, something went amiss in Hirst’s engine, and he pulled off the speedway and into the pit area.

“Overall it was a great Outlaw swing for us,” he said. “We made all 11 shows, and had some great runs, and some disappointing ones. We should be very strong with the King of the West Series.”

Kyle and his Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, HR Livestock Transportation, 3H Cattle, Mobil1, FK Rod Ends, Weld Wheels, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kent Performance Center, Kaeding Performance, and Astro Titanium for their support.
