Back in action at the Thunderbowl in Tulare, CA on Saturday night, young gun, Dominic Scelzi wiring the field and picking up his first series win on the ultra slick track.

“This track is awesome, and I’m glad to get a win here,” Scelzi said. “My team gave me a great car, and I’m fortunate to pick up a win.”

Starting on the front row alongside Carson Macedo, Scelzi got the jump into turn one, and never looked back.

A lap three caution for DJ Netto, slowed the field, but it was not enough to deter the Fresno, CA driver.

Leading all 30-laps, Scelzi was in a league of his own, as he simply dominated, and cruised to the popular win.

Chasing Scelzi across the line was DJ Netto, who rebounded from a lap three spin. Netto excited the fans as his engine expired coming across the finish line.

Also having engine issues, was Carson Macedo, but the Lemoore, CA driver held strong in his Tarlton Racing machine and scored a third place finish, followed by Visalia, CA resident, Steven Tiner. and Fresno driver, Steven Kent, rounding out the top five.

Heath Duinkerken, Mike Schott, Dylan Black, and Nick Green completed the finishing order.

To start off the night, Carson Macedo set the pace in qualifications, while Scelzi won the lone heat race.

With his second place finish, DJ Netto has taken over the series point lead as Steven Kent trails him by six markers, Carson Macedo is 14 back, and Dylan Black and Mike Schott sit tied for fourth, 20 digits back.
