Sprint Car Racing Comes BACK to Amarillo for 2013!

 Midwest City, Oklahoma – April 24, 2013 – Sprint car racing is back at Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas for the 2013 race season. After several years absence officials have decided to make the “winged warriors” a fixture with their very successful weekly program. However, the sprints will run on a bi-weekly basis.

Utilizing ASCS 305-ci rules for the division, the sprints will be part of the weekly race season opener on Saturday night, May 4th. This race will pay $1000 to win and $100 to start the feature finale. There is a one-time registration of $20 and pit passes will be $30 per event.

Other nights the sprint car division will compete are: May 18th, June 1st, June 15th, June 29th, July 13th, July 20th, August 10th, August 24th, September 7th and September 21st.

Each and every Saturday night will see the tracks weekly divisions of modifieds, limited modifieds, street stocks, cyclones and ponies compete.

Pit gates open at 4:30 PM with grandstand gates opening at 6:00 PM. Race time is 7:00 PM.
