The USAC Southwest Sprint Cars return to Canyon Speedway in Peoria, Ariz. May 25-26. Series point leader R.J. Johnson already has two victories there in 2013 and hopes to remain undefeated in the upcoming events.
Johnson, of Phoenix, Ariz., stayed atop the points Saturday after winning the 30-lap feature at Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek, Ariz. Johnson passed Chris Bonneau on lap 20 and led to the checkered flag to beat Bonneau, Bruce St. James, Mike Martin and Shon Deskins. St. James led the first seven laps and Bonneau led the next 12.
Ronnie Clark is second in the current standings, one point ahead of Charles Davis, Jr.
