“Overall I think it was a pretty good week for our team,” Dewease said. “We are not where we want to be, but we keep digging, and we are slowly getting there.”

Taking on the World of Outlaws at the New Egypt Speedway on Tuesday night, Dewease opened up the night by timing his Lelands.com/Conduit Connections/Pasquirellos Auto Shop entry in 12th fastest against the 33 cars on hand.

Starting on the front row of his heat, the Fayetteville, PA driver did not get off to the start he had hoped for, and slipped back to the fourth spot.

Though he fell out of a dash spot, he was securely in the feature event where he rolled off for the 30-lap feature event in the 14th spot.

On what was a very tough track to make up ground on, Dewease held his own during the star studded feature event, and ended the night with a 12th place finish.

“Our heat race hurt us in New Egypt,” he said. “It was tough to pass on, and if we could have gotten a good start, we most likely would have been in the dash, and started a little further up, but we raced pretty good all night.”

With Williams Grove being rained out on Friday night, Dewease and his team moved on to the Port Royal Speedway on Saturday night.

In an action packed event, Dewease would cross the stripe in the sixth spot on Saturday night, setting him up for a Sunday night event at the Selinsgrove Speedway.

With 31 cars on hand, Dewease timed his Penske Racing Shocks/Wings Unlimited/BMRS backed entry in 13th quickest, putting him in the first heat, where he started on the pole.

During what was a very caution plagued heat, Dewease held off a pesky Steve Buckwalter, and took the heat race win, putting him in the fifth row for the feature event.

On what was a track that was tough to make up ground on, Dewease slipped back to the 13th spot during the early goings of the feature event.

Sitting in the 12th spot with just 10 markers to go, Dewease took advantage of a late restart, and scored a 10th place finish at the line.

“We timed in okay, and did our job in the heat, but we were off a touch in the feature,” he said. “We dropped back early, but fortunately we were able to get back up into the top-10, and salvage the finish.”

Dewease and his Heffner Racing team would like to thank Lelands.com, Conduit Connections, Pasquirellos Auto Shop, Penske Racing Shocks, Wings Unlimited, Brown and Miller Racings Solutions, Keizer Wheels, DMI Racing Components, Schoenfeld Headers, Hanks Performance Products, FK Rod Ends, Viper Venom fuels, ATL Fuel Cells, Schaeffer Racing Oils, Astro Titanium, Tom Shockey Collision, Kirkey Racing Seats, Michael Graphics, Valley Forge Inc., Bell Helmets, WRT Web Designs, and WRT SpeedWerx for their support.
