Oxford, Michigan (Thursday, May 30, 2013): The 65th annual Pay Less Little 500 was at the fast 1/4 (0.250) mile high-banked paved oval of Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana on Sunday, May 26th after Mother Nature forced Track Officials to  postpone the prestigious event by one day. 19-year-old Kyle Feeney would start 32nd in the race on Saturday, May 25th and after a rain delay which moved the conclusion of the race to Sunday, May 26th combined with a very rough event, would limp away with a 23rd place showing.

Feeney fought an extremely loose racecar throughout the event and was an innocent bystander in a couple of incidents including two for the violent flips of Jim Sheets and later by former winner, Brian Tyler. All drivers were ok, but in the Tyler incident, the radiator in Feeney’s machine developed a hole and the  Oxford, Michigan was forced to park his car for the remainder of the race.

“I’m very happy that we were able to Qualify in for the second year in a row, but that was a pretty rough race. Especially with fighting the car the whole race. First it was very loose, then it got real tight and it kept going back and forth like that for the whole time we were out there.” He explained.

Both Feeney and his father, Kevin Feeney will strap the Wings back on this Saturday, June 1st and venture off to the fast 3/8s (0.375) mile high-banked paved oval of Kalamazoo Speedway in Kalamazoo, Michigan to compete with the Auto Value Super Sprints Series. In the series’ first two events on Friday, May 17th at Dixie Motor Speedway in Birch Run, Michigan and again on Saturday, May 18th at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan.

Kevin finished ahead of his son Kyle as the patriarch of Feeney Motorsports collected a fourth place finish while Kyle was shown 11th at Dixie while at Berlin, Kevin again finished fourth with Kyle advancing a couple of positions as he scored an eighth place showing. Going into the Kalamazoo event Kevin is fourth in the AVSS points standings while Kyle is shown in ninth place.
