Gregg Has Forgettable Weekend

Andy Gregg had a weekend that he will quickly ‘pull a tear-off’ on, as he just simply struggled.

Friday night, Gregg and his Coors Light/LivFast/GUTS Racing team were in action at the Stockton-99 Speedway.

With 28 cars on hand, Gregg timed in a sluggish 20th quick, before scoring a fifth place finish, putting him 20th on the feature event grid.

On a very slick track in the feature, Gregg looked good for the first 15 laps, as he got himself up into the 10th spot, but contact to the rear of his car sent him in a spin-cycle, and he restarted from the rear of the field.

Over the last half of the race, Gregg mirrored his production of the first half as he charged his way from the back to 10th, again, and finished in that position.

Saturday night the Meyers and Son/Ervin Sales Group/K&N backed team were at the Placerville Speedway looking to overtake the points lead.

With 24 cars checked into the pit area, Gregg timed his FK Rod Ends/Eagle Motorsports/King Racing Products machine in fifth fastest.

Heat race action saw Gregg struggle severely, as he stared in the third row, and ended up finishing in the eighth spot, putting him in the B main.

Starting Third in the B, Gregg still didn’t quite have the car to his liking, as he finished in the fourth spot, putting him in the 19th spot in the feature event.

Gregg’s rough weekend continued into the main event, where he fought his car all night, and ended up scoring a 12th place finish.

“It was just a rough weekend,” he said. “My guys worked hard both nights, but we just struggled.”

Andy would like to thank Coors Light, LivFast Clothing Co., GUTS Racing, Meyers and Son Drywall, Ervin Sales Group, K&N Products, FK Rod Ends, Eagle Motorsports, King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, Hinchman, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, and 103.5 The Blaze for their support in 2013.
