Delmar, DE — (June 24, 2013) — An exciting two race weekend for the Rislone URC Sprint Series shuffled the deck and after six races in 2013, defending URC Champion Robbie Stillwaggon of Burlington, NJ is the current point leader.

Following a convincing win Friday night at the Bedford Speedway and a solid sixth place finish at the Winchester Speedway on Saturday night, Robbie Stillwaggon has never looked stronger and more determined when the green flag falls.   Stillwaggon, holds a twenty-nine point advantage over runner-up Davie Franek.   Ironically in 2012, the championship battle went down to the final race between Stillwaggon and Franek.    Third in point is Brian Carber, the nineteen year driver from Pipersville, PA who was a strong contender for the win Saturday night at Winchester Speedway.

In the closing laps, Carber passed early race leader JJ Grasso and on the final lap, challenged veteran driver Dave Ely for the win.  Carber settled for a very impressive runner-up finish in the twenty-five lap feature event.

Dave Ely of West Lawn, PA coupled his Saturday night victory with a solid fifth place finish Friday night at Bedford Speedway.   Eiy is the 2003 URC Champion and winner of fourteen career URC feature wins.

A strong weekend performance was delivered by Chad Trout of Dover, PA, who finished second on Friday night at Bedford and fifth on Saturday night at Winchester.   Trout appeared to be on his way to a Bedford victory, losing the lead to Stillwaggon late in the race after  a fierce battle for the top spot.

In the non-stop feature at Bedford, Art Liedl, the feature winner the previous week at Grandview finished sixth.   Dan Mazy delivered a solid run Friday night to finished seventh along with Scott Lutz who finished eight,  Jimmy Stitzel came home ninth and Jonathan Swanson rounded out the top ten.

Saturday night at Winchester, all eyes were glued on Carber chasing down that very strong  second place finish.      Josh Weller driving the Chris Weiss #29 is ranked fourth in points and well within striking distance of the point lead.  Weller finished fourth Saturday night at Winchester, racing  with  the top three in the closing laps of the feature.     Tim Kelly of Rock Stream, NY took a liking to the Winchester Speedway, finishing ninth in the feature event.

The Rislone URC sprint will be in action next at the New Egypt Speedway on Saturday night, July 6th.
