From Thunder on the Hill
Bechtelsville, PA — (July 2, 2013) — A drenched speedway, occasional rain showers in the morning and a forecast of afternoon and evening thunderstorms through mid-night forced the decision to postpone the Tuesday night, July 2 NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series event at Grandview Speedway. The 410 sprints and 358 modified double-header is always a popular event but due to weather, it was is not going to happen tonight at the Grandview Speedway.
Bob Miller, who co-promotes the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series with Grandview Speedway track owner Bruce Rogers called many of the traveling 410 sprint car drivers and owners to notify them of the cancellation. The cost of fuel and travel is a big consideration for the out-of-town race teams and it was key for us to make the decision prior to the teams leaving for the track.
The Thunder Series organizers are actively looking at several dates to reschedule the 410 sprints at Grandview.
Grandview Speedway will be in action this Saturday night featuring the 358 NASCAR Modifieds and the Firecracker 40 for Late Models, plus a huge Fireworks display all getting underway at 7:30 PM.
