Tulsa Oklahoma (July 19, 2013) – The Salina Highbanks Speedway hosted round #14 of the Oil Capital Racing Series 2013 tour on July 13th and Sperry Oklahoma’s Casey Wills provided ART Chassis with their first win of the season in one of the oddest feature events seen in some time.
The ART breakthrough came after three previous runner-up finishes. Andrew Deal chased Harli White to the stripe in the season opener at Brill Motor Speedway in a non-wing affair, Alex Sewell was close twice to putting ART on the books with second place runs at Osage Casino – Caney Valley Speedway in May and in June at the West Siloam Speedway in another non-wing event.
Wills is powered by Dyno Services of Oklahoma (DSO) and the win netted DSO their fourth trip to victory lane this the year, second only to White’s five who uses Boyd Racing Engines. DSO has come on strong of late having won four of the last seven events. Wills’ DSO win was preceded by:
Danny Smith’s wins on 6/28 at the Brill Motor Speedway and on 6/22 at the Outlaw Motorsports Park. Kacee Frazier gave DSO their first win of the year on 6/14 at the Monett Speedway in Missouri.
OCRS sits this weekend out. The OCRS teams will return to racing action on Saturday July 27th at the Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada Oklahoma.
