Blaney Best in the D-Main at Knoxville

Knoxville, IA – (August 10, 2013) – Dale Blaney won the D-Main on Saturday during the 53rd Annual FVP Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway.  Blaney took the lead from Sheldon Haudenschild with three laps to go and drove through slower traffic to get the feature victory.

 

Most of the eyes were on Sammy Swindell who started 16th in the D-Main after winning the E-Main.  Swindell drove up to 10th on the first lap and picked his way through the field, but did not secure a transfer spot until the final lap when he passed Tony Bruce, Jr. for the final transfer spot.  Swindell got two more spots before the end.

 

Blaney, Haudenschild, Swindell, Kaley Gharst, and Rob Kubli transferred to the C-Main.
