Over the weekend, Lance Dewease put together quite the passing expedition as he was forced to the back in two of the three races he ran, and still managed to capture finishes on 11th, fourth, and ninth.

His weekend started off at the Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night, and in heat race action, he recorded a DNF, and started the feature event in the 21st spot.

Starting that far back in the feature event, Dewease looked to be patient as he worked his way through traffic, taking advantage of a pair of cautions at the lap 6, and lap 10 makers.

Working his way up to the 10th spot, contact with a spinning Brian Montieth with 10 to go, forced Dewease into the work area, as his Lelands.com/Conduit Connections/Pasquirello’s Auto Shop team went to work to change his right-rear tire that had gone flat.

Dewease would restart, and charge his way back up to an 11th place finish over the final 10 laps.

“We just do not seem to have any luck at Williams Grove this year,” Dewease said. “We got going good in the feature, and then had a flat, and came back out and went forward again. Hopefully as the season winds down, we can shake this bad luck.”

On Saturday night, Dewease and his team were back in action at the Port Royal Speedway.

Starting last in his heat race, the Fayetteville, PA driver was up on the wheel, as he worked his way up to a third place finish, putting him in the fourth row for the feature event.

Starting eighth in the feature, Dewease was able to keep moving forward as he did all weekend long, though he came alive late in the Saturday night feature.

Running in the just inside the top 10, the last 10 laps, saw Dewease come alive, as he worked his machine up to a fourth place finish in the non-stop feature event.

Sunday the team was back at the Susquehanna Speedway Park, where his night started off well, as he won his heat race, and lined up in the third row of the feature event.

Running in the fifth spot, Dewease fell victim to a flat tire on lap three, to bring out the night’s lone caution.

Starting at the tail end of the field, Dewease worked back up to a ninth place finish in 20- non-stop laps.

“We were plenty fast all weekend long, we just did not seem to have anything go our way,” he said. “It was nice for the Heffner’s to get a win with Lucas Wolfe on Friday night, so hopefully we can get up there this weekend and get them another one.”
