ROCHESTER, NY, (August 26, 2013)- The Patriot Sprint Tour is ready to send the summer of 2013 off with a major bang with three major races that will be incredibly important in determining the 2013 PST America Championship.

With the addition of the rain-delayed event at Raceway 7 in Conneaut, OH to the lineup for this Friday, the annual trip west for the Patriot Sprint Tour will now be a tripleheader for the first time.

This weekend will have heavy point implications for sure.  Scott Kreutter, of Alden, NY, carries a 7-point edge over Jared Zimbardi of Bradford, PA.  The last two PST Championship still have defending PST Canada Champion Justin Barger, of Montrose, NY, close in their rearview mirror though, along with Tommy Wickham, of Constantia, NY, who is still certainly in the mix.

Back in May, a heavy rainstorm thwarted the first trip for the series to the fast 7/16-mile oval.  Almost all the teams were in the pits and had a chance to look at the track and salivated at the prospect of returning; something that now can be a reality this year.

On Saturday Night, the series returns to the tight confines of the Bradford Speedway.  Back on Memorial Day Weekend, hometown hero Jared Zimbardi dominated the feature.  With passing at a premium, it is anyone’s guess who could take the checkered flag this Saturday.

A trip back down I-86 on Sunday will find the series back at Eriez Speedway for a traditional Labor Day Sunday event that dates back to 2009.  Series Point Leader Scott Kreutter has won the last three races at the 1/3-mile oval and is, in fact, the only driver to win multiple PST events in Northwest Pennsylvania.

Each of the top 12 drivers in points are expected to compete at some or all points throughout the weekend including Geoff Quackenbush, Brad Knab, Bryan Howland, Clint Ide, Steve Collins and Scott Just.  Tyler Graves, Dave Wickham, Dave Just, Bruce DeWick, Kyle Drum and Adam Anderson are also expected to be part of the weekend festivities.

Raceway 7 is located at 4094 Center Rd in Monroe Center, OH and will swing their gates open at 5:00 P.M., with racing beginning at 7:30 P.M. Gates will swing open at 5:00 P.M. Saturday at Bradford, with racing getting underway at 7:00 P.M.  Bradford Speedway is located on PA Route 646 near Rew, PA.  The GPS track location is 330 Summit Rd, Bradford, PA, 16701.  Eriez Speedway opens their gates at 4:00 with racing at 5:30 P.M. and is located at 9821 Sampson Rd, Erie, PA, 16509.  For more information, visit www.PatriotSprintTour.com.
