“It wasn’t the trip to Calistoga I was hoping for after last year, but I have to thank everyone who made it possible for me to get out the California and run,” he said.

Boespflug’s busy weekend kicked off on Friday night in Indiana aboard Paul Hazen’s No.57 machine.

Lining up 16th in the feature, Boespflug had a very strong car that came alive late in the feature, as he worked through thick traffic.

When the dust settled on feature, Boespflug found himself sitting in the fourth spot, and saw his point lead extend to 37 markers.

Kicking of his California adventure on Saturday night, Boespflug timed his Vertullo/Pierson machine in sixth quickest, putting him in the third row of the second heat.

The ‘Hanford Hornet’ would rally up to a third place finish, and transfer into the feature event.

Making numerous changes to the machine before the feature, Boespflug and company looked for more grip in the 14 machine, but couldn’t seem to find it.

The feature saw the Avon, IN native slip back through the field as he wound up scoring a 12th place finish.

Sunday night heat race action was wild for Boesflug as he nearly went for a ride, but was able to keep his entry on all four wheels, though he was forced to run the B main.

Scoring a second place finish in the B, Boespflug lined up in the 18th spot for the feature event, and in the feature he still didn’t have the car exactly how he wanted it.

Doing everything he could to find grip, Boespflug worked his way to a 13th place finish at the stripe.

ON TAP: Chad will be in action on Thursday night at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, CA before heading back to Indiana to compete at Gas City on Friday.
