Steven Tiner Third in Montana

Spending his Labor Day weekend in Montana, Steven Tiner was back behind the wheel of the Peterson Motorsports No.23n for a double header in Great Falls, MT where he scored yet another third place finish on Friday night.

Winning his heat race on Friday, Tiner found himself on the front row of the feature event, where he looked to score his first win of the season.

Jumping out to an early lead, Tiner was impressive, as he dominated the first half of the race.

With laps winding down, and holding a commanding lead on a very slick track, Tiner had an issue with his master cylinder, and lost his brakes.

Trying to hang on, Tiner had his hands full, and ultimately slipped back to the third spot when the checkered flag waived.

“We were awesome on Friday night, and had the car to win, but we had master cylinder come apart, and lost the brakes, and made it tough to maneuver on that slick of a surface,” Tiner explained.

Back in action on Saturday night, Tiner and his Peterson Motorsports team struggled all night.

Heat race action saw the Visalia, CA driver start and finish third, putting him in the sixth row of the feature event.

On an extremely slick track, Tiner could not seem to get his entry to move forward, as he closed his weekend out with a 10th place finish.

“It was a great time over the weekend, and I can’t thank the Peterson’s enough,” he said. “Were close to getting a victory together, and hopefully they will have me back soon, and we can get that done.”

Steven and his Steven Tiner Racing team would like to thank BR Motorsports, King Racing Products, Elma Lanes, Larry Davis Farms, Wright Process Systems, Harvest Supply, Powder Coat-It, SRP, Wilwood, FSR, Dan Olson Race Products, Sander Engineering, Sweet Manufacturing, Good Ridge, Schoenfeld, Western Metal Company, and Roseville Precision for their support in 2013.
