TULSA, Okla. (September 11, 2013) The final appearance of the season for the Speedway Motors Warrior Region at the U.S. 36 Raceway in Cameron, Mo. is scheduled of Saturday, September 14.

Beginning the countdown to the 2013 season finale on October 4 at the Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Mo. only four dates remain including this Saturday’s visit to the high-banked Missouri oval. The sixth visit of the season, the U.S. 36 Raceway has been the site of a variety of winners as five previous shows has yielded just as many winners from just as many states.

Johnny Herrera set a dominating pace with the co-sanctioned Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV appearance on May 17. The season’s first stand-alone show for the Speedway Motors Warrior Region at the U.S. 36 Raceway was won over by Oklahoma’s Jake Martens on June 14.

Washington’s Seth Bergman was victorious on June 28. Jonathan Cornell topped the field on July 12 with Nebraska’s Jack Dover proving to be the driver to beat on August 23.

Jonathan Cornell continues to lead the Missouri based arm of the ASCS Nation. With seven victories, 13 top five, and 14 top ten finishes in 2013, Cornell is currently tied for second in single season wins with Brian Brown who topped the series championship standings in 2000 with seven wins. Randy Martin currently holds the single season win record with eight, doing so in 2000 when the California, Mo. driver place third in the season standings.

The only driver besides Cornell with a perfect record of starts in 2013, Jay Russell continues to holds the runner up spot some 383 points behind. Cody Baker, J.R. Topper, and Casey Baker make up the remainder of the series top five.

The U.S. 36 Raceway in Cameron, Mo. is scheduled to begin races at 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 14. Support classes will include Modifieds and Sport Modifieds. For more information on the U.S. 26 Raceway, log onto http://www.us36raceway.com.
