New Egypt, N.J. — (September 14, 2013) — Brian Carber of Pipersville, PA scored his first career Rislone URC Sprint Series feature win Saturday night at the New Egypt Speedway.   Carber started ninth and took the lead on lap eighteen after a restart when race leader Randy West spun, after contact with a slower car.  Josh Weller brought the field down for the restart with  Carber taking the lead entering turn one.   Carber at age nineteen delivered an impressive victory and he earned $2,000 for his efforts.

Twenty-three sprint cars turned out for the show with heat race victories going to JR Berry, Curt Michael and Carber.
At the start of the twenty-five lap Rislone URC Sprint Series feature JR Berry and eight time URC Champion Curt Michael made-up the front starting row.   At the drop of the green flag, Berry took the lead followed by Ed Aiken and Randy West.    Berry held the top spot until lap four when sixth place starter Randy West took the lead driving the Fred’s Trailer Parts #56.   Once on top, West  was setting a blistering pace followed by Berry, Aiken, Josh Weller and Carber.

At the front of the pack, Josh Weller of Mertztown, PA was now the race leader with Brian Carber sharing the front row for the double-file restart.  At the drop of the green, Carber beat the field into turn one to become the new race leader.  Weller quickly fought back to challenge for the lead.
With five laps to go, Carber and Weller were at the front of the pack followed by Ryan Bolhke, Davie Franek and Curt Michael with JJ Grasso following in sixth.
Weller stayed within striking distance of Carber for the final five laps  as Bohlke and Franek battled for third.   With the checker flag waiving, Carber took the win followed by Weller, Bohlke, Franek and Curt Michael.
