From Craig Dollansky

From temperatures hovering around the century mark in California, Craig Dollansky and the Eyecon Trail Cameras #7 team made the long haul to ‘The Hawkeye State’ where much cooler temperatures in the low 70’s presented the next World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series event on Friday the 13th in Spencer, Iowa.

Signing into Clay County Fair Speedway for the eighth time in his career that included a victory in 2011, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ registered the 10th fastest lap in qualifying among the 27 cars.  Earning a front row starting position for heat action, the Aggressive Hydraulics #7 started on the pole and opened up an early lead until a mechanical issue around the midway point of the 8-lap event forced Dollansky out of the race.

Racing his way into the main event by winning the B-Main, Dollansky started inside row seven in the A-Main.  After a pair of cautions on the opening lap, the MobileStar backed entry ran just outside the top-ten before a red six circuits later.  As the feature resumed the Elk River, Minnesota native battled with Brian Brown before holding eleventh by a caution at the midway point of the 30-lap event.  Losing a spot on the restart, Dollansky chased David Gravel in the final laps before receiving the checkered flag in 12th.
