Contact halfway through the feature event in Hanford, CA caused suspension to damage to Willie Croft’s No.3c machine, and the Sacramento, CA driver held on for an 18th place finish.

With 27 cars on hand, Croft timed the Tri-C Machine/JRI Shocks/NAAKE Suspension No. 3c in eighth fastest, putting him on the front row of his heat race.

Starting alongside Cory Elliason in his heat, Croft got off to a great start, as he grabbed the lead, and never looked back.

Picking up the heat race win, Croft earned a berth in the Dash where he lined up in the sixth spot.

Finishing in the eight spot, Croft found himself in the fourth row of the 30-lap feature event aboard his Holey Smokes BBQ/Christian Stover Foundation/ButlerBuilt No. 3C.

As the race went green, Croft found himself inside the top-10 as he rolled worked the bottom of the speedway.

On the 10th lap, Croft came to a stop as contact ensued the lap before, and he had suspension issues.

Electing to restart the race, Croft hand quite the handful as the broken shock tower, made the handling of his machine wicked.

Hanging on for all 30-laps, Croft ended with a dismal 18th place finish.

“We had a pretty good night going, from qualifying in decent, to winning our heat, but we struggled a bit in the Dash, and then had some bad luck in the feature event,” he said.
