Puyallup, WA — (March 2, 2014) — Trey Starks will debut his new sponsor and fresh scheme this week against the toughest sprint car competition.

With Southstar Equipment on board as a primary sponsor, Starks will face the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas in Las Vegas on Wednesday and Thursday before wrapping up the week on Saturday at Tucson International Raceway in Tucson, Ariz.

“We put in a lot of really hard work in the last month making sure everything is ready,” he said. “We feel like we’ve prepared really well. We have good equipment under us. We know we can run well with the Outlaws. I’m looking for a top 10.”

Starks said qualifying will be the key to the level of his success against some of the premier sprint car drivers in the world at a pair of fast tracks.

“The only thing is we haven’t qualified well with them at Las Vegas in the past so I’m looking for a good qualifying lap each night,” he said.

Starks has finished 17th twice and 19th in his trio of races against the World of Outlaws at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas and Saturday night will be his first time competing in a 410ci event at Tucson International Raceway.

“I like Vegas and I like Tucson,” he said. “Vegas is a whole lot better with a 410. I liked Tucson with a 360 so I think it’ll be fun with a 410.

“We’re looking to get as much experience as we can at the beginning of the season because we’re heading to Pennsylvania. The competition back there is ridiculous. Just getting some good races in is the biggest part.”

After the events at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas and Tucson International Raceway, Starks will compete with the World of Outlaws for a couple of weeks in California before venturing to Central Pennsylvania for several races against the PA Posse.

Fans can watch Starks and the World of Outlaws action at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas via live Pay-Per-View on Wednesday and Thursday. For more information, visit http://www.DIRTVision.com.
