Though qualifying has ailed him as of late, Tim Kaeding has been a charging machine in feature events in 2014, and that continued in Tulare, CA as TK charged to finishes of sixth and 12th aboard his Roth Enterprises/HR Livestock Transportation/3H Cattle No. 83 machine.

“We just have been off during time trials all year it seems, but we race extremely well,” the San Jose, CA driver said.

After timing in 17th fastest on Friday night, Kaeding turned in an impressive run in his heat race to net a third place finish and transfer to the feature event, though he lined up in the eighth row.

On a track that was unusually narrow for Tulare, CA, TK seemed to find something on the top-shelf that saw him pass cars seemingly at will.

With four wheel over the cushion, Kaeding took what he could get, as he raced his way to a sixth place finish at the finish line, netting him KSE Hard Charger honors.

Saturday night’s surface was a typical Thunderbowl track as it was wide, slick, and extremely racy, however, TK’s time-trial woes continued as he timed his machine in 25th fastest.

Working his way to sixth from his ninth starting spot in his heat race, Kaeding again earned the transfer to the 35-lap feature event, but found himself rolling off from the 21st position.

Finding comfort on the high-side, TK slowly worked his way towards the top-10. Battling with Steve Kinser, and reigning World of Outlaw Champion, Daryn Pittman, Kaeding was able to march his way to a 12th place finish.

“I have to thank Dennis and Teresa Roth for continuing to support us on the road, and my guys for continuing to work and get our car better,” TK said. “We have plenty of speed racing, I just have to get better at qualifying, and I think the wins will start coming. Starting in the last few rows with this field of cars makes it tough to get to the front on a nightly basis.”

Tim and his Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, HR Livestock Transportation, 3H Cattle,  Mobil1, FK Rod Ends, Weld Wheels, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, and Astro Titanium for their support in 2014.
