With six races under their belts in the 2014 season, Bud Kaeding and his Williams Motorsports team continue make strides and gel, and that was evident this past weekend in Stockton, CA, where Kaeding scored two Top-Five Finishes.

“We have been pretty fast right out of the box, and everyone seems to be enjoying this new partnership,” Kaeding said. “In Vegas and Tulare we were really fast, and then in Stockton we were able to put together some nice finishes.

Setting the track record at Stockton Dirt Track in the 360 on Friday night, Kaeding went on to start on the pole of the feature event, where he led the early laps.

As the race wore on, traffic came into play, and Kaeding settled for a fourth place finish.

Taking the World of Outlaws on Saturday night, Kaeding continued to show serious speed aboard his Maxwill Racing Engines/Kaeding Performance/FK Shocks backed entry as he timed in 10th fastest, before finishing second, and ending up in the Dash.

Starting on the pole of the Dash, Kaeding earned the win, and started on the pole for the feature event where he settled into the second spot on the early goings, chasing after Joey Saldana.

As the laps wore on, Kaeding would lose ground to Donny Schatz, Jason Meyers, and Kerry Madsen as he finished in the fifth spot.

At Tulare one week ago, Kaeding finished eighth during the opening night event, before issues caused him to finish in the 20th spot on the second night, but both night’s the Campbell, CA driver was in the Dash.

Kicking their season off in Las Vegas at the beginning of March, Kaeding had horrific luck, as he blew a tire in a transfer spot in his heat the first night, and then was involved in a wreck early in the feature the second night.

“All of us are really happy with the way things are going,” Crew Chief Ashley Smith said. “We have been plenty fast, and we are starting to get some nice results. We have some great companies like Maxwill Engines, Kaeding Performance, and Factory Kahne supporting us, and we can’t thank them enough.”

“It is nice to have the weekend we had in Stockton, CA,” Kaeding added. “We did not have some results that we though we should have had, so we will take this and move on. I can’t thank the Williams family enough for this chance.”

ON TAP: Kaeding and the Williams Motorsports team will be in action this Friday at the Merced Speedway in Merced, CA before heading to Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, CA on Saturday.
