– Kicking the 2014 USAC National Dirt Midget season off over the weekend, Parker Price-Miller joined the fun as the series invaded the always exciting Kokomo Speedway for two nights of action, though all did not go as hoped for Price-Miller.

“It was a wild weekend that threw all sorts of curves at us,” Price-Miller said. “In the end we were able to overcome a little adversity, and have some fun.”

The action heated up on Friday night, and Price-Miller timed in 11th, before he lost an engine in his heat race forcing his team to roll their sleeves up.

Getting a new engine in his machine, the team could not get the car to fire after numerous attempts, and making adjustments.

Missing the B, Price-Miler’s teammate, Brady Bacon, gave up his seat for the feature, and Price-Miller hopped in his machine, and tagged the back of the feature event.

On a very well prepared track, Price-Miller had his work cut out for him, as he fought his way through traffic, racing three-wide at times.

When the action packed feature event came to a close, Price-Miller took the checkered flag in the 13th spot.

Spending Saturday getting his machine in order, the team was able to finally get the No.9P fired, and they were in business for Saturday night.

Timing his Toyota/TRD/Indy Race Parts backed entry in 17th fastest, Price-Miller lined up second in his heat, and finished fourth, putting him in the feature event, where he would line up 16th.

The start of the race was a little rough for him, as he slipped back to the 22nd spot at one time.

Just like he did the night before, Price-Miller got his elbows up, and went to work as he again had a long way to go to get to the front, but he took advantage of some things falling his way, and he closed his weekend out with a ninth place finish.

“I can’t thank everyone involved for making this all possible,” he said. “Nobody ever quit, and everyone worked so hard, it was really great to be a part of.”

Price-Miller and his team would like to thank Indy Race Parts, Keizer Wheels, CSI Shocks, Select Equipment, Wesmar Racing Engines, Toyota, Toyota TRD, and Triple X Race Components for their continued support.

2014 BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-10, Wins-1, Top 5’s-1, Top 10’s-4.

ON TAP: Price-Miller will be in action this weekend, he is just unsure of where he will be at this time.
