EL PASO, Texas (April 14, 2014) – The Motter Equipment HE&M Saw Beltline Body Shop 71M team hopes to keep their California momentum rolling into Texas when the World of Outlaws series makes its next stop at El Paso Speedway Park Tuesday, April 15.

In the final California Spring Break weekend, Saldana set quick time twice, was second at Hanford and won in Perris.

“Our team has worked really hard and it felt good to have it all come together at Perris,” said Saldana.  “Everybody on this circuit has good equipment and all the drivers are excellent.  When you can come out on top of the leader board then it’s a great accomplishment.

“Our Speedway Engines have been super good and quick, but I have to give a tip of the helmet to Davey (Whitworth, crew chief), Sean (Strausbaugh), and Tommy (Waseleski) for working tirelessly and continuing to be optimistic.”

Saldana currently sits in fourth place in Outlaws point standings, 39 points out of the lead.  So far this season the Motter team has accrued eight Top 5 and 11 Top 10 finishes.  In 14 races, the Brownsburg Bullet has notched seven quick times.

This is the second time the World of Outlaws has competed on the semi-banked, 3/8-mile El Paso Speedway Park oval.  Last year Saldana finished sixth.

Following Tuesday’s El Paso event the Outlaws series returns to its roots going back to its birthplace at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, April 18-19.
