– Back in action with the OCRS Series on Saturday night, defending series champion, Harli White took to the new Longdale Speedway and put together a very strong night as she pocked a third place finish.
“It was a fun night and a great weekend for our team with the up and down start to the season we have had,” White said.
On a very dry, and slick surface early in the night, White lined her Lucas Oil/Mesilla Valley Transportation/PXP Raceway entry up on the pole of her heat race, and went on to dominate the race, earning the win, and putting her in the feature event.
As the track continued to deteriorate through the night, track position would be huge, as rubber would be a factory, and the lady racer lined her machine up in the third row for the main event.
White got off to a very strong start in the feature event, and flexed her muscle, as he was able to do what many struggled to do, and that was pass cars, and she was able to do it seemingly at will.
Getting up into the second spot as the race wound down, White wanted more. Searching around the speedway for a faster line to take the race lead, White made a bid for the lead, but she came up short, and in doing so, she slipped back to a third place finish.
“We had a really fast racecar, and I thought we had something for the leader,” she explained. “It was really slick, and as I searched around trying to take the lead, we lost a spot, but that is nothing to hang our heads about. I have to thank everyone who helps me out!’
