Over the three consecutive nights of the Tri-City Shootout Series, Reidy finished both of the opening two nights at Maryborough Speedway and Archerfield Speedway in fifth, and then completed the series with a fourth in the third and final round at the Toowoomba Speedbowl.

In the opening round on Good Friday at Maryborough Speedway, Reidy qualified fifth in time trials, and then ran seventh and third in his two heat races. He had scored enough points to qualify into the top -8 shootout and finished in eighth. After starting from position eight in the feature race, he worked his way forward to finish in fifth despite suffering front wing damage from an opening lap accident.

Reidy then ventured to Archerfield Speedway for the second round on the Saturday night. After qualifying sixth in time trials, he recorded a pair of fifth-place finishes in his two heat races. Once again, he earned a spot in the top-8 shootout and on this occasion ran fifth. He then recorded back-to-back fifth-place finishes in the feature race.

The third and final round at the Toowoomba Speedbowl on the Sunday night resulted in Reidy achieving his best feature-race finish of the weekend: a fourth. This came after time trialling 10th and running fifth and third in his heat races. Despite not qualifying into the top-8 shootout for the first time, he was able to charge from position 11 in the field to finish one spot shy of the podium in fourth.

“We battled for front running pace but still managed to come away with some good results,” the NQ # 5 Desert Palms Resort in Alice Springs support Maxim driver said. “Despite not having the best of weekends, it was still pleasing to be able finish all three nights inside the top five.”

This Friday and Saturday night (April 25 and 26) at Archerfield Speedway, Reidy will be aiming to claim the Queensland Title winning spoils. With multiple Queensland Title runner-up finishes in past seasons, Reidy is hungry for success and nothing less.

Reidy Racing would like to thank Desert Palms Resort in Alice Springs, Downs Tinting & Signs, P&M Motor Body Repairs, Gonzo’s Race Pipes and Inglis Race Engines, for all of their 2013-14 season support.
