In action for a pair of All Star races and a World of Outlaw race over the last week, Jac Haudenschild and Destiny Motorsports got better each night out, and highlighted their week in a big way by winning at the Mercer Raceway Park on the heels of a second place finish at Lernerville on Friday night.

“We had a really good weekend, and this team is starting to gel,” Haudenschild said.

With 25 cars in the house on Saturday night, Haudenschild timed his MonDak Portables/Rick Rogers Construction/Champion Brand Lubricants No. 9W machine in third fastest, putting him in the third heat.

Picking up a second place finish in heat race action, Haudenschild earned a berth in the Dash, where he would start on the pole, and win, putting him on the pole of the feature event.

Jumping out to the lead at the drop of the green flag, “The Wild Child” had Lee Jacobs chasing after him, and quickly found himself in thick lapped traffic.

Working lapped traffic to near perfection, the caution flew with five to go, and Haudenschild admitted he was happy to see it waive to give him a clear track.

With lapped cars giving him a bit of buffer from Jacobs, Haudenschild was flawless over the final five markers en route to his second win of the 2014 season, first with the series.

“It has taken us a little longer than we hoped to get everything in order, but I think we are there, and I am looking forward to our next races,” he added.

Friday night was also a great night for the Wooster, OH driver as he was in action at the Lernerville Speedway.

Timing in seventh fastest on Friday, Haudenschild finished third in heat race action, and was fortunate to earn a Dash berth.

Finishing third in the Dash, Haud lined up in the second row of the feature, as he chased after Lee Jacobs who led from the get go.

Though Jacobs had a huge lead at points during the night, Haudenschild was able to chase him down, and battle for the win late, but came up a little short and finished in the second spot.

Wednesday night the team was in action with the World of Outlaws in Jacksonville, IL.

Timing in 13th fastest, Haudenschild picked up the heat race win, putting him in Dash, where he finished in the seventh spot.

Involved in an early tangle, Haudenschild was forced to the rear of the field, and on the tight confines, was able to rally his way back up to a 14th place finish.
