The Pay Less Little 500 week kicks off on Wednesday, May 21st at Anderson Speedway featuring the Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series winged sprinters in the annual Must See Racing 60.
The series will be led on the fast ¼ mile high banks of Anderson Speedway by 2013 Must See Racing 60 and Pay Less Little 500 winner Jacob Wilson of Crawfordsville, Indiana. Wilson dominated last year’s event earning the Wilson Brothers Racing team their first MSRXSS feature victory. Wilson then went on later in the week to win the prestigious Pay Less Little 500, one of the most competitive and entertaining short track events in the world of short track racing.
Wilson will face strong competition from a full field of series regulars including 2013 MSRXSS champion Brian Gerster in the Dick Myers #50M. Gerster started the 2014 season championship chase with a win at Mobile International Speedway and setting new track records at both Mobile and Five Flags Speedway at the MSR “Southern Shootout” in April. Five Flags feature winner and fan favorite Aaron Pierce of Daleville, Indiana in the Sam Pierce Chevrolet #26 is also a favorite to compete for top honors.
A host of top contenders representing seven different states and Canada including past MSRXSS champion Troy DeCaire, Canadian Ryan Litt., Jimmy McCune, Jim Sheets, Kody Swanson, Tim Cox, Chris Neuenschwander, Davey Hamilton Jr., Ryan Gillenwater, Kevin Blue, and Cody Gallogly, among others, will also compete for the win in the 60 lap event.
Two new top competitors will join the field with midget and silver crown veteran David Byrne of Shullsberg, Wisconsin in the Byrne Racing entry and popular sprint car veteran Danny Smith of Chillicothe, Ohio piloting Mike Blakes #81 making their first starts with the series in Wednesday’s 60 lap winged sprint car event..
