Andretti’s To Meet Fans As USAC Eastern Storm Hits Port Royal Speedway June 7

Port Royal, PA — (May 29, 2014) — The fantastic USAC wingless super sprint cars will invade Port Royal Speedway next Saturday, June 7 at 7 pm.

Also on the program will be the only appearance of the season by the ARDC Midgets along with the Gray’s Auto & Towing 355 econo late models.

The Port Royal USAC program will be part of the 2014 Eastern Storm Tour by the historic United States Auto Club racers.

The USAC main event will be 30-laps in distance and will pay $6,000 to win.

Prior to the races fans will be treated to the chance to meet two of the members of the famous Andretti racing family.

Signing autographs beginning at 5 pm behind the grandstand will be 21-year old, third generation racer Jarett Andretti.

The son of John Andretti, Jarett is the 2013 Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Speedway Rookie-of-the-Year. He was the 2011 USAC Focus Midget Eastern Pavement Champion.

Jarett Andretti and his Window World-sponsored No. 18 super sprint car will be campaigning at Port Royal and throughout the area during the 2014 USAC Eastern Storm tour.

Joining his son to sign autographs will be John Andretti.

The elder Andretti is a former USAC midget champion who also owns a pair of NASCAR Sprint Cup victories along with a triumph in the 1989 24 hours of Daytona event.

June 7 will also be the yearly EMMR/Penn Central Racing Reunion at Port Royal with some 50 restored racecars on display prior to and during the racing program.

The restored cars will receive track time during the event when the 2014 Port Royal Founders Awards will also be presented.
