Ferns, who is the 2011 USAC D1 Midget Series champion, is focusing on 410-winged sprint car racing in 2014, running in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana. She has led laps in three of her six starts this season, including in her debut at Attica Raceway Park in Ohio, last month.
