DOUBLE HEADER FOR AVSS AT TOLEDO AND M-40 THIS WEEKEND

Cassopolis, MI — (June 12, 2014) — The Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints (AVBBSS) has a double header weekend beginning at Toledo (OH) Speedway on Friday, June 13 in the All American Coach/Hemelgarn Racing/Super Fitness Fastest Short Track Show in the World and concluding at the 3/8-mile oval of M-40 (MI) Speedway on Saturday, June 14.

Jimmy McCune won the series opener at Angola (IN) Motorsport Speedway on May 31 with Jo Jo Helberg the most recent winner at Kalamazoo (MI) Speedway.

In the early season point standings, 2013 series runner-up Joe Swanson leads five-time champion Jason Blonde by just a single point. The remainder of the top five includes Davey Hamilton Jr., 2010 champion Kevin Feeney and veteran Mike Astraukas. Other series regulars that will be in action this weekend include Ron Koehler, Teddy Alberts, Tom Geren and Jay Rohrback who are ranked sixth through ninth in the standings.

Defending Toledo winner Troy DeCaire will return to series action in the DJ Racing entry aiming to extend his winning streak at the fast half-mile oval. DeCaire has two career AVBBSS feature wins. McCune will attempt to win in his second consecutive series start and Angola quick timer Ryan Gillenwater also returns to action.

Other drivers that are expected include 10-time series winner Ryan Litt , Winged and Non-Winged Sprint Car Winner and Champion Aaron Pierce, National Sprint Car Hall of Famer and 19-time series winner Jeff Bloom, former Hoosier Outlaw Sprint Series Champion Tim Cox along with two-time Non-Winged winner in 2014 John Turnbull Jr.

Sprint on Dirt Champion Dustin Daggett and 2013 Toledo fast timer Cody Gallogly will both make their second straight series starts. First appearances this weekend will come from Kyle Edwards in the BioBased USA owned Sprinter, Brian Gibbs, Tom Tolbert, Frank Neil and Dave Baumgartner.

Former HOSS Champion Geoff Kaiser will make his season debut at M-40 on Saturday aboard the Speed Chasers No. 64. The team earned the most recent Winged Sprint Car victory at the 3/8-mile oval in August of 2013, when Kody Swanson took the checkered flag.

On Friday at Toledo, practice begins at 3:30 p.m., qualifying is set for 5 with the racing program starting at 7:30. Advanced Reserved & General Admission Tickets are $20 and on Raceday will be $25. Children 6-12 are priced at $3 with Under 6 Free.

On Saturday at M-40 Speedway in Jones, Mich., practice begins at 3:30 p.m. with qualifying at 5 and the racing program beginning at 7:07. Adult Admission is $15 with Seniors priced at $13. Children 10 and under are admitted free.
