ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย The USAC/CRA Sprint Car series resumes action this Saturday night at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway after a month-long hiatus.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Two-time defending series champion Damion Gardner sits atop the 2014 standings, 111-ahead of five-time champion Mike Spencer. Gardner’s four Perris wins this season have extended his all-time Perris victory lead over Spencer to five (30-25).
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Only Richard Vander Weerd and Matt Mitchell, who has spurted to the lead in USAC’s West Coast Sprint series, have upset Gardner at the PAS in 2014.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Saturday night’s race is “California Racers Hall of Fame Night,” saluting the Golden State’s rich racing history.
