After heavy rains washed away portions of the racing surface last weekend, track prep is nearly complete for racing this Saturday night at Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio.  With just four total races remaining on the 2014 racing calendar, points battles are beginning to get serious.  For drivers Kyle Simon and Gary Campbell, this fact is far too real.  Simon currently leads the Buckeye Machine Non Wing Sprint point standings by just 28 points over veteran driver Mike Dunlap.  Campbell is feeling the pressure even more with just a two-point lead over Rod Henning in the Performance Powder Coating AMSA Mini Sprint point standings.  Anyone inside the top five is still in the running for the championship trophy with just 56 points separating the top five competitors.  Point battles in other weekly classes remain tight with 50 points or less separating first and second spots.  Drivers have an opportunity to work on their point positions this Saturday with a full program of racing featuring the Buckeye Machine Non Wing Sprints, Performance Powder Coating ASMA Mini Sprints, Post Agri Service UMP Modifieds, Block Insurance Tough Trucks, and the Indian Lake Outfitter Compacts.  Gates swing open at 4PM pit side, 5PM grandstand side.  Cars hit the track for hot laps at 6PM with racing action following just after 7PM.  Adult general admission is just $12, kids 11-15 years old $6, and everyone under the age of 10 is admitted to the races for FREE.  Pit admittance is just $25.  Get the latest Waynesfield Raceway Park news and information online at www.waynesfieldracewaypark.net
