Trey Marcham of Oklahoma City, Okla. resumes his pursuit of the Honda USAC Western Midget championship in November after a brief hiatus following last Saturday’s race at Bakersfield, Calif.

Marcham won Saturday night’s 30-lapper at Bakersfield Speedway after taking the lead from Alex Schutte on lap 10. He led the rest of the way to beat Ronnie Gardner, Sean Dodenhoff, Jonathan Henry and Schutte. Marcham wheeled the Berry Pack/King Racing Products TCR/Esslinger to the victory.

Gardner remains atop the series standings after his second-place finish at Bakersfield. Gardner enjoys a 36-point lead in both the overall dirt points.
