Tulare, CA — (October 15, 2014) — For the first time in the event’s 21 year history, The Trophy Cup is set for LIVE PPV stream for all three nights of action on TheCushion.Com.
Pitting some of the nations top drivers against each other on the Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA, The Trophy Cup has morphed into one of the nations premier events, and for the first time ever, the uniqueness of the event will be streamed LIVE, giving fans around the world a chance to watch this event unfold.
The Trophy Cup is one of the most unique events in the country with a very innovative format, as well as being a fundraiser for the Bay Area Make-A-Wish Foundation. Fans that do purchase this event will not only be able to enjoy great racing, but a portion of the fee will also act as a charitable donation.
Kicking off on Thursday night, the entire field will be in action for a complete night of racing with the drivers being split into the two groups, giving two sets of time trials, and two sets of heat races, leading up to main events. Each time a driver is on the track they accumulate points that will ultimately line them up on Saturday night.
Friday night offers the same format, and a wrinkle that is new to the Trophy Cup this year is the third day of racing, as well as only using the drivers best point total for Saturday night, essentially giving teams a mulligan.
Saturday night’s program is lined up completely by points as drivers look to make their way into the 50-lap feature event. The Trophy Cup however inverts the field fully by points, putting the high point earners at the tail end of the field, with the B Main Transfers taking the first four spots.
The feature event ultimately gives fans two races, as one, they watch the actual race, and two, they track the top point earners from the back, as Trophy Cup pays the overall champion very handsomely.
Many of the top drivers across the country and Australia including, Rico Abreu, David Gravel, James McFadden, Jonathan Cornell, Terry McCarl, Randy Hannagan, Kyle Hirst, Jonathan Allard, Jason Meyers, and many more will be on hand for what proves to be one of the most anticipated races of the season.
