World Series Sprintcars management is pleased to announce that the Australian Sprintcar Champion, Dave Murcott, will be a contracted driver in this season’s World Series Sprintcars.

The timing is perfect for Murcott to throw his hat into the World Series Sprintcars ring, following an impressive 2013/14 season.

Driving for Horrell Motorsport, both Murcott and Horrell are raring for the season to kick-off.

“We’re extremely excited about the opportunity of being a contracted team this season,” said Horrell Motorsport owner, Dave Horrell.

“Racing against the top sprintcar drivers around Australia is something we’re really looking forward to.

“Dave Murcott has been driving for Horrell Motorsport for 5 years now, and it’s great that he’s representing the team in the upcoming World Series Sprintcars season.”

Recently, the reigning Australian Sprintcar Champion took out the opening round of the Sprintcar Track Championship at Brisbane’s Archerfield Speedway – Murcott will be looking to carry his current extraordinary form into the upcoming World Series Sprintcars season.

“Without the fantastic support of our sponsors – Mainline, Dynolog, Dynamometer, Vortex Express, Sprint Shack, Eastcoast Logistics, Oval Express, and Power Plus Fuels – this would not be possible,” continued Horrell.

“Both Dave Murcott and I are looking forward to representing our sponsors this season, and we hope to have a great WSS campaign battling the best drivers around the nation.”

The announcement of the Australian National Sprintcar Champion is a major coup for World Series Sprintcars 2014/15.

The 28th annual World Series Sprintcars Championship kicks-off on Friday 26 December at Speedway City in South Australia. Stay tuned to www.worldseriessprintcars.com.au for all the latest news regarding the series – including the full roster of contracted drivers, as they are announced.
