With a much needed rain storm blowing into Northern California last weekend, the scheduled race for the Wingless Series presented by Joe Hunt Magentos at the Petlauma Speedway was postponed, and we are excited to announce that the make up date for that race will be on Saturday, May 23rd.
“We are very happy that Rick Faeth was willing to work with us to get the race made up,” Prentice Motorsports Group President, John Prentice said. “Rick and his team have been great to work with, and we are looking forward to getting to Petaluma for two Wingless Series races this season.”
With two races in the books in 2015, young guns have been tough to beat as Santa Rosa pilot, and series point leader, Joe Stornetta, won the Silver Cup back in March, and Brentwood, CA wheelman, Colton Slack, made history as he picked up a hard fought win at the Calistoga Speedway in mid April.
As mentioned Joe Stornetta leads the series into action as the current point leader, with Nick Larson, Colton Slack, Gary Nelson, Jr., and Shane Myhre in a very tight point battle.
Other drivers that are expected to make the trip to the Petaluma Speedway on May 23rd night include, Shanyna Sylvia, Terry Schank, Jr, Klint Simpson, Bradley Clark, Bryan Grier, Zack Kavert, Angerlique Bell, and many others.
The Petaluma Speedway kicks their program off earlier than other tracks with the drivers meeting scheduled for 430pm, as well as the main grandstands opening at 4pm. Qualifying is slated to hit the track at roughly 5pm with racing to follow.
Tickets are available on May 23rd with adult tickets $16, juniors and seniors $12, and children 5 and under free.
