Camera and autograph night along with Mother’s special at Port Royal

Port Royal, PA — (May 5, 2015) — Port Royal Speedway will feature Lake Chevrolet Mother’s Night and Camera & Autograph Night this Saturday, May 9 at 7 pm.

All Moms will be afforded $10 general admission for the program and all general admission ticket holders will be permitted access to the pit area from 5 until 6 pm.

Moms attending the show will get the chance to win several special giveaways including flowers and other gifts.

On the May 9 racing program will be the 410 sprints, super late models, Gray’s Auto & Towing 355 econo late models and the Len Krautheim Auto Sales xtreme stocks.

In the super late model division, Lewistown’s Jason Schmidt broke the undefeated streak of Shermansdale’s Mike Lupfer on May 2.

Lupfer had won the first three shows of the season prior to that event.

Schmidt beat a stellar field of contenders in the form of Matt Parks, Dylan Yoder, Nick Dickson and others to record his first career oval super late model win.

The 410 sprint point standings have Mechanicsburg native Lucas Wolfe currently leading the class by 200 markers over Mike Wagner.

So far this season, five sprint car programs have produced five different winners in Aaron Ott, Lucas Wolfe, Greg Hodnett, Cody Darrah and most recently Steve Buckwalter.

Port Royal will be quite for Spring Break with no racing on May 16 before coming back with one of the biggest Saturday’s of the season on Memorial Day Saturday, May 23 at 7 pm.

May 23 will be Pepsi Night/Packer’s Concessions Night at the track with the first 200 fans entering the grandstand receiving either a FREE Pepsi hat or shirt.

The 410 sprints, super late models and River Valley Builders 305 sprints will compete in the Fallen Heroes Championships, named for drivers that paid the ultimate price while racing at the track in its long history.

Fireworks are also on the special program.
