Dodge City, KS — (May 14, 2015) — Following a wild weekend of weather that washed out last weekend’s scheduled event at Dodge City Raceway Park, next up on the slate of events atop the 3/8-mile clay oval in southwest Kansas is the high-powered NCRA Sprint Cars on Saturday night, May 30.

The return of the NCRA Sprint Cars on May 30 will be accompanied by a full complement of DCRP championship chase action including IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars and IMCA Hobby Stocks.

The May 30 card will be the first NCRA outing at Dodge City Raceway Park since C.J. Johnson topped last June’s Steve King Memorial over a field of 25. Johnson went on to capture a share of the 2014 NCRA season championship along with Jeremy Campbell with Jon Freeman, J.D. Johnson and Jeff Stasa also among the top five.

The May 30 event will be one of just two stops for the NCRA Sprint Cars at Dodge City Raceway Park with the series taking on the ASCS Red River Region at the June 27 Steven King Memorial that also includes the URSS/DCRP 305 Sprint Cars.

Leading the championship chase divisions into the May 30 card are Clay Sellard, Kevin Tabor, Michael Pepper and Matt O’Hair.

Sellard and Pepper are both a perfect two-for-two in IMCA Modified and IMCA Stock Car action, respectively, Tabor is atop a tightly-bunched IMCA Sport Modified pack and O’Hair holds a slim IMCA Hobby Stock points lead.

NCRA action on May kicks off six consecutive weekends at Dodge City Raceway Park that culminates with the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars “Boothill Showdown” on July 3-4. Advance tickets for the World of Outlaws double are available at http://dirtcar.ticketforce.com/eventperformances.asp?evt=160.

General admission tickets to the May 30 NCRA Sprint Car event that gets under way at 7:30 p.m. are just $20 for adults, with children 11 and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Pit admission is $30.

The 2015 slate of events at Dodge City Raceway Park includes 15 nights of competition with a number of special events along the way, highlighted by the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars Boothill Showdown on July 3-4.
