The NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series kicks-off this Sunday, May 24 at 7:30 PM, at the Grandview Speedway 1/3 mile dirt track, with a fan-favorite features only event with five divisions competing in 25 lap main events. The ARDC Non-Wing Midgets, Sportsman, TSRS Sprint Cars and the Legends cars complete a jam-packed line-up headlined by a $3,000-to-win NASCAR 358 Modified feature event.

The top-prize could be claimed by a number of drivers in the NASCAR 358 Modified division that has seen five different winners in just six events. Craig VonDohren, Kyle Weiss, Ryan Grim, Doug Manmiller, Jeff Strunk, Kevin Hirthler, Jared Umbenhauer and Meme DeSantis are all contenders — but in this special event it’s not about weekly standings, there are only bragging rights and $3,000 on the line.

Side-by-side and 3-wide, the ARDC non-wing midgets always provide 25-laps of intensity while competing on the famed 1/3 mile Grandview Speedway and in their first of three Thunder on the Hill appearances nothing less is expected. So far in the ARDC season, there have been four different winners in four different events, but the one man that remains winless is defending Series Champion and current point leader Steven Drevicki, who finished in the top-five in every one of his 2014 events.

Brett Kressley continues to be a force in the Sportsman division in every event he enters. The Orefield, PA driver and currently holds on to the top-spot in the Grandview Speedway Sportsman Championship standings with two wins this season. Drivers Kenny Gilmore, Jim Housworth, Craig Whitmoyer and Jordan Henn are all right on the tail of 23-year-old Kressley.
The TSRS 305 Sprint Cars always put on a great show at the Berks County dirt oval and with a Championship battle heating up between TSRS competitors Mike Haggenbottom with 93 points and Eddie Wagner with 92 points, it’s all winged excitement.

The Central Pennsylvania Legends cars provide exciting full-fendered action on a variety of different speedways – East Berlin, PA’s Chad Earnst has captured three wins, with Bob Stough picking up two victories this season, Justin Mitchell & Chad Glatfelter have one win each. These small cars pack a lot of power and anyone could grab the win on ‘The Hill.’
Action kicks off early at 5 PM with the popular Low Down & Dirty Radio Show Meet & Greet taking place right outside the main entrance with drivers Billy Pauch Jr., Samantha Lieberman and Rick Hartwig. Fans are encouraged to bring their cameras and autograph books!

Celebrating the 26th season of racing action NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series always includes fun for the fans with activities such as: Pre-Race Pit Tours, the Inside/Out Experience – where fans can sign-up to watch hot laps from the infield, JOE “THE PIZZA DUDE”, giveaways, fireworks and appearances by the Thunder Girls.
