California, MO — (June 21, 2015) — The Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region took on the Double X Speedway this past Sunday night for the annual Tribute to Jesse with Austin Alumbaugh picking up his second win in three nights with the ASCS Warriors.
Austin’s win was enough to push the No. 33 into the points lead by 23 markers over Jonathan Cornell.
Leading start-to-finish for the $2,000 score, Alumbaugh was chased to the line by Derek Hagar in the Hockett Motorsports No. 75h. Mississippi’s Andy McElhannon snagged third with Tyler Thomas fourth. Jonathan Cornell completed the top-five from the tail after taking the Hockett Challenge. While Jonathan didn’t pick up the $4,100 bonus, Cornell did pick up an extra $500 for winning the Cory Wierman Dash for Cash.
Ricky Stangl crossed sixth with Josh Fisher, Jay Russell, Corey Nelson, and Brandon Hanks making up the top-ten.
The Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region looks forward to the Tiger Towing Red, White, and Blue Tour, starting July 2 at the Double X Speedway in California, Mo., followed by the Callaway Raceway in Fulton, Mo. on July 3, Randolph County Raceway in Moberly, Mo. on July 4, and Double X Speedway again on July 5.
