Mother Nature quickly turned around Saturday night at Lincoln Park Speedway. With everywhere across the state of Indiana getting heavy rain all week LPS was the only track able to get in a race. Thus fielding a large competitive field of cars as teams as well as fans traveled from all over to race or spectate this event.

Chad had a strong heat race performance winning after starting second thus putting him in the inversion for the AMain. The feature inversion was in Chad’s favor as he lined up outside front row for the 25 lap AMain. Jumping out front to gain the early race lead Chad went on to lead all 25 laps scoring his third win of the season at LPS and first win with the Amati Racing Team.

Chad expressed how thankful he is for the opportunity he has to drive the 66, “Thank you Shane Wade, owner of Amati Racing Inc, for the opportunity to drive for you without bringing anything more than my helmet bag every night. Doing it the way Grandpa Chuck would have liked it.” Chad also expressed that Wade has hired the right people to give the team the tools they need to excel now and in the future.

Chad will start his race week off on Tuesday night at the Miami County Speedway in Peru, IN competing in a micro sprint at their Fair Race event. The speedway hosts USAC and Local Non Wing sprint car drivers to compete in this event annually. Chad will race the Bo Click #91X at MCS. Then Wednesday Chad returns to Plymouth Speedway to try and repeat his performance from 2014 where he won the Open Wheel Wednesday event. He will pilot the Dave Stensland Physical Medicine Consultants #41 at Plymouth. He will then return to the Amati Racing Inc. #66 for both Friday and Saturday night competition. Both Friday and Saturday night events will honor past legends of our sport. Beginning with the Sheldon Kinser Memorial at Bloomington Speedway followed by the Chuck Amati Classic at Paragon Speedway Saturday.
