Weikert’s Livestock Gives Concert & Can Koozies To Port Speedweek Fans July 4

Port Royal – As part of this Saturday’s Pennsylvania Speedweek sprint car event at Port Royal Speedway on July 4, Weikert’s Livestock will present a free country music concert for the fans prior to starting time at 7:30 pm.

 

Prior to the races, the country band Artie Dean Harris & Bourbontown of Louisville, KY., will perform behind the grandstand.

 

General admission gates for the big speedweek program of Weikert’s Livestock 410 sprints, super late models and Len Krautheim Auto Sales Xtreme Stocks open at 4:30 pm.

 

Weikert’s Livestock of Fairfield will give free can koozies to the first 500 fans entering the grandstand for the holiday speedweek event.

 

And expected to be in competition for the show is the replica Weikert’s Livestock No. 29 sprint car as piloted by Danny Dietrich earlier this season in the annual Bob Weikert Memorial at Port Royal.

 

Port Royal Speedway will host the 25th annual Jake’s Wayback Burgers/Trone Outdoor PA Speedweek sprint car series this holiday weekend, posting a $5,000, 30-lap payday for the 410 sprints Saturday, July 4 at 7:30 pm.

The speedweek fast timer on the night will receive $100 courtesy of Packers Concessions of Centre Hall.

Adult general admission is JUST $22 and students are priced at JUST $7.

 

The current sprint car point leader at Port Royal, Lucas Wolfe of Mechanicsburg is the defending Port Royal speedweek event winner.

 

Wolfe, aboard the Zemco No. 1 sprinter, is currently on target for a first ever area oval season title, at Port Royal, although he does own a pair of speedweek series crowns including the most recent one in 2014.

 

Speedweek sponsors Jake’s Wayback Burgers and Trone Outdoor are posting $10,000 for the speedweek title this season.

 

Port Royal will host Moon Shine Camo Kids Night on Saturday, July 11 at 7:30 pm.

 

Aside from prizes and games for all youth, racing action will feature the 410 sprints, a super late model championship and the econo late models.
