On the heels of an extremely exciting Wingless Series Presented by Joe Hunt Magnetos event at the Ocean Speedway last Saturday night, the series heads to the Petaluma Speedway this Saturday for another round of action.

Saturday night, Klint Simpson picked up his first win of the season at the Ocean Speedway after a thrilling battle with Colton Slack and Austin Liggett. With the leaders racing three-wide during much of the race, Simpson was able to get the advantage following a late restart, and fend of his competitors as he won an absolute thriller.

With the original event in April at the Petaluma Speedway being postponed due to rain, the series makes it’s first of two visits to the Bay Area speedway on Saturday night as the series attacks the famed Petaluma adobe.

Through six events in 2015, Colton Slack leads the series into battle as he is in search of his second win of the season. Up front by a mere 31 digits, Slack will come into Saturday nights event fresh off of a second place effort at the Ocean Speedway.

Chasing after Slack is San Jose, CA pilot, Gary Nelson, Jr. With his podium streak being snapped last week at the Ocean Speedway, Nelson will look to build off of a seventh place effort as he is vying to chip into Slack’s lead.

After charging from his 11th starting spot to finish in the fifth spot, Nick Larson sits third in the standings, just 67 points out of the top spot. Larson has came on strong as of late, and will look to become the series’ newest winner on Saturday night at the Petaluma Speedway.

2015 has been a very strong year for the Wingless Series presented by Joe Hunt Magnetos. With each race producing an action packed feature event week after week, the buzz around Northern California continues to grow. Saturday night’s show will also include Joe Stornetta, Shane Myhre, Angelique Bell, Klint Simpson, John and Bradley Clark, Cody Fendely, Terry Schank Jr, Zach Kavert and many more wingless stars.

The front gates are scheduled to open at 4pm, with cars hitting the track around 6pm. Adult tickets will be on sale for $16, while Junior and Seniors can be purchased for $12.
